What AG cleats are for
That spread is the point. A synthetic pitch does not give way, so the load has to be shared rather than concentrated. The studs are often hollow, which lets them flex slightly on impact instead of transmitting everything into your joints.
If your club trains on 3G, this is the boot that lasts. Firm ground studs on artificial grass wear flat within a season and give you no grip once they do.
